Once youâve completed your bachelorâs degree, youâll be well on your way to obtaining a job in the field of earth and environmental sciences. Take your skills and knowledge of geospatial science even deeper with a masterâs in geoinformatics. Youâll broaden your understanding of geographic information science (GIS), remote sensing and GPS technology. Youâll apply geospatial technology to solve important environmental and societal problems. And youâll learn to better communicate as a scholar. There are plenty of ways to get involved with the department of earth and environmental sciences, ranging from the U.S. Geological Survey and local/regional partner organizations to GeoClub and Murray State's chapters of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) and the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS).
