Policy for International Students Applying to the Murray State University (MSU) Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD)

2. Have your foreign degree transcript(s) evaluated by one of the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s (CDR) approved third party agencies (see list below). This should generate a detailed course-by-course evaluation that can be submitted along with your application to the Program Director. Course syllabi may also be requested to complete foreign degree transcript evaluation.

3. Contact the MSU International Student Office to learn about VISA opportunities, scholarship opportunities, the application and admission process, and to determine specific requirements (e.g., TOEFL).

5. After completing steps 1-4, email the Program Director to see which classes you will need to take in order to earn your verification statement. The verification statement is a document that is required for application to any dietetic internship program in order to become a registered dietitian (RD) in the United States. It must be issued from an accredited DPD program, such as MSU. A copy of the course-by-course evaluation from the third-party agency, in addition to your transcripts and personal statement, should also be included.
